Vivek leads the firm’s Community Legal Access Programme (CMI-CLAP) with a profound commitment to legal advocacy. He has dedicated a major part of his career to supporting prisoners and other individuals who lack access to affordable legal representation.
Vivek holds a Master’s degree in Law and has been practicing since 2008. Additionally, he has earned a Post-Graduate Diploma in Constitutional Law and a Diploma in Parliamentary Institutions and Procedures from the Institute of Constitutional Law and Parliamentary Studies, New Delhi. He has also completed Professional Development Training in the Administration of Justice for Public Security, offered by the IBA Chair on Continuing Legal Education at the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, in collaboration with the Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy Training, Trivandrum, and National Law University, Jodhpur.
With extensive experience in criminal law, both as a prosecutor and defence lawyer, Vivek is an expert in court procedures, real estate due diligence, matrimonial law, labor disputes, and legal documentation related to property transactions.

Our Associate Partner, Poorvi Aswani Bhardwaj, holds a bachelor's degree from Delhi University and a law degree from Amity University. She has been enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi since 2015.

Nazia Yusuf

Nazia is a Harvard graduate with over 15 years of international experience in law firm practice and in-house counsel roles. She has honed her expertise at some of the world’s top legal firms, including Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in New York, and has worked across New York, Dubai, and other global legal hubs. Her experience spans corporate legal functions, including mergers and acquisitions, project financing, debt and equity financing, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and litigation management.
In addition to handling multifaceted corporate-legal transactions Beyond legal functions, Nazia excels in corporate operations, business development, project management and finance. Her ability to manage complex portfolios makes her a trusted advisor to clients.
Shatakshi Kapoor

Shatakshi Kapoor graduated with a B.A.LL.B(Honours) in 2016 and specialises in commercial transactions and general corporate advisory.
She handles private investments, funds, business structuring, real estate, regulatory and environmental compliance, and intellectual property. She regularly advises clients on commercial contracts, policy development, and cross-border legal strategy.
Shatakshi has worked with clients across diverse sectors, including ed-tech, hospitality, financial services, FMCG, fashion, healthcare, real estate, and manufacturing. Prior to joining CMI & Co., she held key legal roles at Phoenix Family Office Advisers, Anand and Anand, and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, supporting a wide range of transactional and advisory mandates involving both domestic and international stakeholders.
